Craft Store Haul

Sadly, Adventure Buddy had to be an adult today and had some chores and running around to do so we didn't get to go on an adventure. :( So, not wanting to sit at home and be bored all day I went to the craft store to pick up a few things and see if they had their Halloween stuff out yet (which they did.) I picked up a 7 pack of canvases for $11.99!!! That's an awesome deal! I was almost out of canvases so it was already a great trip! Then I found all of the Halloween stuffs. Halloween happens to be my favorite holiday so I was in heaven! Here's what I found.

Got three cute little stamps. I've been pen paling with a high school friend lately so I can stamp these on some of the letters!

Found some glow in the dark ghost duct tape! Perfect for a Halloween themed duct tape wallet!

Got this cute little Jack-o-lantern paper lantern. Sooooo cute. I need to find a brown string to hang it from and a little green string to make it look like a stem and vine!

I also bought this Halloween paper. I figure I can write little notes to the pen pal on them.

Of course, the first thing I did was make my ghosty wallet! Here is the outside of it. It shall be my favorite wallet of all time! (other than the Jurassic Park one.)
Here is the inside. I just made the pockets solid black. Now to put all the junk from my old wallet in it.

All in all, not too bad for a non-adventure day!

Speaking of Halloween, all the Halloween candy is already out at the store! I've been eating Kit Kat bars lately and the Halloween kind has these little designs on them, (four to be exact.) I've gotten three different designs! Here they are:

I just have to find the last one and I'll have eaten the entire set! :D It is now required!

Well, this post wasn't exactly exciting but I hope you enjoyed my little Halloween happiness!

Many many fishing adventures

So lately, adventure buddy and I have been on a fishing spree. Every time we plan to do something, it's always fishing (mostly because he likes to fish, I think.) I'm not too much of a fisher, he usually has to put my bait on and take the fish off if I catch one but I can cast the bait out and reel the fish in, no problem. My problem though, I have a hard time sitting still and just waiting for the fish to bite. It's pretty difficult after working all night and everything is quiet. I could just curl up and take a nap somedays (of course, the bugs and wildlife make it a bit difficult.) I'm sure adventure buddy wouldn't mind but usually I can stay awake and it gives us time to talk and catch up on the going on's at work and what's happened lately. Anyway, yesterday was no exception. When I got off of work, we met up and went fishing like normal. Unlike last time, the fish weren't biting as well but it was just nice to sit around and talk and take in nature and the shade and breeze that was happening. We did end up catching a couple of fish a piece though. And adventure buddy made a few new friends too!

This was the monster of a fish that I caught. He gave adventure buddy the run around, trying to get the hook out, which was kind of funny. He happened to be missing an eye too (which might have been from my hook....sorry dude!!!)

Then, adventure buddy made some new friends. Apparently bees really like chicken liver because after adventure buddy put the bait on the hook. this guy would run around his hand being all spazzy. He almost got squished a couple of times because he liked to hang out between fingers but luckily he lived to see another day.
And this guy was just chilling on adventure buddy's leg. We were talking and suddenly he looked down and this dude was there. He was just a tiny little thing but he could jump like nobody's business!

Ok, there is a story behind this bobber. I didn't post about our last fishing adventure so you wouldn't understand what I was talking about if I just said that I got my bobber back. Well, on our last fishing trip, a fish broke my line and ended up stealing my bobber and we joked around and said it was Jaws (because, HEY! It was shark week!!!) Well, this trip we were walking around the lake and we picked a different spot and we had gotten settled when we looked over and saw this chilling close to the bank. So I went and picked it up and it looks just like the one that I lost on the last fishing trip to Jaws. We're not sure if it's the same one but it's funny to think that it is. And no, Jaws was not still attached to it.

Password Fail

So, I changed my password not too long ago and I totally forgot it and had to do a little run around to reset it -____- I'm so failtastic when it comes to remembering passwords. Well, now that the crisis has been averted I can update on the going on's lately. Let's see, last month I joined a gym and have been going regularly. I can definitely tell a difference in my energy and strength levels. The scale doesn't show much of a loss but I have noticed that I've gained some muscle in certain areas.

I try to do at least two miles or more on the treadmill everyday that I go, then on to some circuit training for my arms and the parts of my legs that didn't get a workout from the walk. Add all that walking to all the walking that I do at work and my legs should be rocking!

Speaking of work, lately there have plenty of picture opportunities that have popped up at work. I always love finding amusing things at work that I can share with the general population. Here are a few pictures of the things I've found amusing.

Whenever you leave the freezer door open for a little while, the whole freezer becomes a horror movie with all the foggy that happens.

This Little Debbie display creeped all of the unsuspecting Kroger employees out until they finally took it down. Think, the store is closed....it's late at night....you're by yourself and you turn the corner and catch this dude out of the corner of your eye. Just starring at you with that creepy smile on his face. Yeah, not a fun time at all. So glad they took it down.

These poor little alligators are so messed up that it's funny. All of the alligators look like this. Why would you ship out these guys, looking like this? I almost want to buy him so he has a happy home where nobody laughs at him. Poor guy. <3

This is a sticker on the floor by the trash bags. Hello, how you doin' ? Why yes, yes I would like to buy whatever you are offering? That's one way to promote your product I guess.

Now, I don't know if any of those pictures amused you but they amuse me to no end. Now, on to my latest adventures. I recently purchased my fishing license and have been fishing a few times. The first two times I didn't catch anything (I secretly think the fish don't like me, it's not like I want to keep them and eat them, I just want to catch them, take a selfie and throw them back! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK???) but this last time I caught TWO while my adventure buddy didn't catch anything. I think he was starting to get a little frustrated but he was a good sport about losing to a girl! GRRRR YEAH! TAKE THAT!!! HA! Just kidding. I really had no idea what I was doing so it's really like he caught them too with all the help he gave me. Anyway, pictures.

On our first fishing trip, we found these. Not sure what they were but they grow in trees and are heavy! I would NOT like if this thing fell on my head while I was walking! Talk about concussion!

Adventure buddy is a turtle saver. He stopped in the middle of the road to save this turtle. I just hope this guy was actually going that way....otherwise he had to start over. OOPS!

Adventure buddy was tromping through the woods on our second fishing trip and breaking down limbs while saying, "GRRRRR I'M A BEAR." Yes, yes you are.

These are the two fish that I caught on our third fishing trip. The first one I didn't want to hold but the second one I was forced to hold and take a picture with. The first were very calm about this, more calm than I would be if I had been abducted and forced to take a picture with some alien. It's been so many years that I've been fishing that I really had no idea what I was doing so Adventure Buddy was a good sport and patiently explaining everything and correcting me when I screwed up. I'm slowly learning. All in all, it was a very fun adventure and now I can say that I've been fishing AND caught something other than leaves....apparently I'm a VERY good tree fisher and fishing rod tangler. -___-

So, that's what has been going on in my little world lately.
